1. Change the color

Playing with colors is an easy way to dramatically change the appearance of a room. Pale colors of the same tone on wall and floor help to create a sense that the room is larger than it actually is. Strong and bright colors such as red or orange should be for towels and accessories. If you live in a rented apartment, you may need to ask permission from your landlord before making any big changes to decorations including colors.

2. Use mirrors

Mirrors are even more effective than colors and easier to apply as well.
