- Application Pro-Tip: Make the most of your Mailbox Decal by ensuring your surface is smooth. Mailbox Decals do not adhere well to textured surfaces. Avoid applying them to "texture powder coated steel". The smoother the surface, the easier the application.

Good decal...
Was a challenge to get every tree piece peeled and onto mailbox but it was worth it! Stuck so well after a few stormy days. White goes well on forest green, had a request for a change of color from copper to white and they got it changed without a fuss! Arrived swiftly too!

Great product - if you're careful.
We are very pleased with our mailbox decal. It's distinctive and very legible and adds a touch of class to a plain black mailbox. The only reason I took a star off from the rating is that the decal requires a great deal of patience and persistence to apply. This is especially true if the letter font has small serifs and the picture has small elements at the edges, as ours does. Also, we have a standard large Gilbert mailbox, which now comes with small, round ridges on the sides (presumably to strengthen the metal). You must use your fingers constantly to shape the decal onto these ridges. But if you follow the instructions carefully, work slowly, and press, press, press, you will have a mailbox that will be really stunning. It will look as though you hired an artist to paint it. I suppose pride is a sin, but I'm proud of our mailbox!
